Street Parking

Attention Homeowners!  The HOA has received several complaints in regard to Street Parking.  According to the Street Parking Rules, all vehicles belonging to Owners, members of a household, and guests must be parked in the garages or on the driveways serving their lot. No vehicles, whether belonging to an owner or guest, shall park on any street or public right of way except on a temporary and non-recurring basis.

Street Parking Patrols will be stepped up for the foreseeable future until the street parking situation is under control.  Please click here to see the Eagle Crossing Street Parking Rules.

Thank you,

Neighborhood Work

Attention Eagle Crossing Homeowners,

We have information to share with you about the work being done in the neighborhood. The HOA nor the management company was notified about this work. After receiving calls/complaints from homeowners, we contacted AT&T and Hendricks County for more information. The project is through AT&T and they are installing fiber wiring as the neighborhood only has copper wiring. This work was sanctioned and approved by Hendricks County. The project is 70% done and will last approximately three additional weeks. TCS has been contracted through ATT to complete the work. They can only work within the utility easements of any property. If they are working outside of the easements on your property or have caused any damage, please report to one of the following supervisors for the project; Jose (815) 319-0774; David (248) 885-2672; or Kent (317) 499-5875. All questions and concerns can be directed to this team. We will keep the neighborhood updated should any more information be received. Thank you!

Shed & Rental Amendment Update

Dear Eagle Crossing Homeowners,

As you know, in June 2018, the HOA started the process of sending out ballots for the amendment changes of allowing sheds and a rental cap in the neighborhood. With 853, there needed to be a 75% of homes in approval for the amendment to pass, which in total comes out to 640 submitting their votes in approval. Through the entirety of the three year process, there was a collaborative effort to get the word out about submitting ballots and encouraging homeowners to cast their votes for these changes. Unfortunately, the three year timeframe for these votes has come to an end, as of June 2021, and neither the shed allowance nor rental cap has passed. For the results of the shed amendment, there were 407 homes in approval and 105 in denial. For the results of the rental cap amendment, there were 390 in approval and 119 in denial. We would like to thank all the homes that participated in the vote and submitted their ballot!

Community Pool Update

Dear Eagle Crossing Homeowners,

We have an important situation and are asking for help to keep the pools open for the rest of the summer.

Unfortunately, our pool company is experiencing great difficulty in staffing our pools.

Without staffing - BOTH of our pools will be closed during the week and will only be open on Saturday and Sunday.

If you, or anyone you know is interested in working at our pools, please contact Emilee at C and N pools (emilee@candnpools.com, 317-650-3497).

Hopefully, we can have enough staff to at least keep one pool open during the week. Otherwise, the pools will only be open on weekends from 9am to 9pm.

Thank you,

Eagle Crossing HOA Board Members

Events Update

Dear Homeowners

As you are all aware, the Covid-19 virus has created a very uncertain and very unfamiliar year.  Many events have been postponed or cancelled.   We have tried hard to keep things as normal as possible and hope that you and your families are enjoying the neighborhood pools this year, despite the changes that had to be made.

Plans were in place to have a Summer Picnic in September.   Unfortunately, the decision has been made that to hold such a large event in such uncertain times just wouldn't be a sensible or economical choice to make.   The State and County regulations can change at very short notice and we must be able to follow them.    So , sadly our neighborhood will not have a Summer Picnic this year.

Eagle Crossing will, however, go ahead with the September garage sale on Friday 11th September and Saturday 12th September, as it will be up to each individual homeowner to ensure the safety of themselves and their family.

Please keep checking our Eagle Crossing HOA website for news and information about our neighborhood at eaglecrossinghoa.com and encourage your neighbors to sign up for the emails.    There may still be some opportunities for some fun this year and we don't want any of you to miss out!

Wishing everyone a safe end of summer.

Eagle Crossing Pool Opening - May 24th!!

Dear Eagle Crossing Residents,

2020 Has not been the year that we expected to open a new decade with!   As we begin to enter the summer season navigating the new normal and following the steps to keep the Covid19 virus at bay, we at the HOA board, have been working with our management company and pool contractor to open the pools on time. Our first concern is to make sure we are following all of the recommended guidelines and keeping our homeowners safe. Opening the pools in the current circumstances means that there will have to be new steps that must be undertaken by every Eagle Crossing resident who wishes to use the facilities.

WHEN THE POOLS OPEN

MANDATORY – ADDITIONAL POOL RULES and GUIDELINES: (these rules/guidelines are in order to meet all requirements by the state and county health departments and the Governor’s office)

1.       Capacity will be a maximum of 50% for each pool until at least July 4th when it is scheduled to go back to normal.

2.       Although maximum capacity is now 50% - because of other factors (SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS) your pool will most likely hold less than 50% when all factors are considered.

3.       Social Distancing will be in effect until at least July 4th.

4.       A pool monitor at the gate will be REQUIRED to monitor pool attendance at all times.  Pool cannot open without a monitor due to liability reasons & state mandates.  Every effort will be made to have a pool monitor working during the established pool hours; however, if a pool monitor is not available or present, entry into the pool will not be possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

5.     POOL ACCESS - All key fobs/key cards will be deactivated until further notice. NOBODY will have self-access to the pool except the Pool Company. The Pool Company will open and close the gate for EVERY patron.  Each Patron will be required to show their key fob and a government-issued photo ID with proof of address (Driver’s license preferred)   Additionally, per usual, only homeowners who have accounts in good standing will be permitted to enter the pool grounds. If you are renting a home within the community, you will be required to show a piece of mail with your name and address as proof of residence.

 6.       Any Homeowner wishing to use the pool will have to sign a RELEASE FORM before entering the pool.  If they do not sign it, they will not get in.

7.       Nobody under 18 years of age will be allowed to enter the pool without an adult (someone over 18).  A release form may not be signed by anyone under the age of 18.

8.       Homeowners will be required to bring their own chairs if they wish to have a place to sit.  All pool furniture will be locked up.  Monitors have the right to restrict furniture from entering the pool.

9.       All Homeowners will be given a 6’ x 6’ square where they will be asked to convene if not swimming.  Areas will be marked by tape.

10.   All Homeowners are responsible for bringing their own sanitizer for use when using/touching surfaces around and outside of the pool and in the pool area.

11.   NO non-resident Guests are allowed at the pool until at least July 4th. ONLY Residents of the community will be allowed to enter the pool area.

12.   No flotation devises, toys, balls, or other like items are allowed in the pool area until at least July 4th.

13.   Adults will NOT be allowed to drop their minors off at the pool.  Adults must stay with their children (anyone under 18)

14.   Homeowners will be responsible for social distancing.  It is up to the Homeowner and their family to practice social distancing. The monitors are responsible for admittance to the pool, not social distancing.

15.   Homeowners are the OWNERS of the pool and therefore the responsible party when it comes to social distancing.  If any Homeowners are not practicing social distancing or any other activities that you, as a homeowner, are not comfortable with, we ask that you do not take on any risk that you are not comfortable with and leave immediately and report the non-compliant homeowners to the monitor.

16.   Use of the pool is completely voluntary and not a requirement.  Please understand that by using the pool, you are assuming all risks involved.

17.  Drinking Fountains will not be allowed to be used. Patrons will bring their own drinks.

Pool Capacity
1.        Under every scenario the maximum capacity would be 50% of normal capacity until at least July 4th.

2.       The pool will be sectioned off in 6 foot squares with 6 feet between each square.  If one person comes to the pool, they will be given one 6 foot square.  If a family of 4 comes to the pool, they will be given one 6 foot square.  Example of changing capacity:  If for example, pool Capacity is 100 then until at least July 4th, the new pool capacity is 50.  We don’t have the numbers yet from the pool company so this is ALL THEORETICAL, but for example your pool deck is separated into 24 squares.  10 individuals come and 14 couples come.  All 24 squares are taken and that is 10 + 28 or 38 people and that is the max allowed at that time.  We are under our allowed maximum people, but we have reached our social distancing max.  Another example is if 12 families of 4 come to the pool at the same time.  Each family will be given a 6 foot square.  There will be 48 people at the pool.  If another family of 4 come to the pool, they will not be allowed in because that would put us over the maximum capacity, even though there are still 12 empty squares. We would have reached our maximum capacity even though we did NOT reach our social distancing capacity.  In the second scenario if a couple comes up a few minutes later, they will NOT be given priority over the family of four that is waiting for spots to open up.  It will be first come, first served.

LOGISTICS:
1.       All key cards/key fobs will be turned off.

2.       Homeowners will need to sign a waiver/release form for them and their family before entering the pool

3.       The pool monitor will open and close the gate for each family, one family at a time.

4.       The pool monitor will collect all waivers/release forms

5.       Once the monitor collects the form, they will place a check mark next to the homeowners address in the binder given to them by the Management Company.

6.       Homeowners returning to the pool on future dates - Homeowner will need to show a key fob and photo ID and give their address.  The monitor will check the address against the binder.  If they do not have the homeowner checked as turning in a waiver/release form, the monitor will make the homeowner sign another release form.

Sincerely,
Eagle Crossing Board of Directors

Spring Community Garage Sale - Cancelled

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Eagle Crossing has canceled the Spring Garage Sale. We are currently still planning to have the Fall Garage Sale. The Fall Garage Sale is To Be Determined at this time. So keep your eyes peeled for the dates to be announced.

Inspections by Management Company during Covid-19 Pandemic

During the Covid –19 Pandemic we have received a few questions as to whether Inspections by the Management company falls under “essential services.” The large majority of homeowners that we have spoken with, continue to request that we hold all homeowners to the standards set forth by the covenants and for those homeowners that are not following the covenants, the management company send them a violation letter. Before the management company started doing inspections during the Covid-19 pandemic, they consulted with their attorney as to their ability to do this under the guidelines set forth by the Governor of Indiana. It was determined by two different attorneys that, “Inspections by the management company are deemed essential under the Governor’s order as “real estate services” and “other service providers who provide services necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences.” If you receive a letter from the management company during this time period and the violation for which you received the letter requires you to go to the hardware store or bring in an outside contractor to do work on your property, the management company will allow extra time for this to happen and will not expect you to do either of these during the pandemic. You will be given the normal amount of time to rectify the violation starting from the day the Governor lifts the ban. For those violations that don’t require going to a store or bringing in an outside contractor, like moving trash cans, you will be given the standard allotment of time and the violation will be expected to be rectified.

Again, we understand the current state we are in and have heard from the large majority that continue to want your community to hold its property value and maintain a desirable look. We will continue to have the Management Company do inspections to keep our neighborhood in good shape. Thank you for your cooperation and we hope that you continue to stay safe.

COVID-19 Support

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we would like to remind people to we are all in this together. If you are wanting to put your name on a list to volunteer to assist a neighbor, please email your property manager at eaglecrossing@mgroupmanagement.com and put VOLUNTEER in the subject line.

If you are in need of assistance during this time, please email your property manager at eaglecrossing@mgroupmanagement.com and put COVID-19 HELP in the subject line.

Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!!

Community Playgrounds

In response to the COVID-19 virus, the Neighborhood Playgrounds should not be used until further notice. This is due to an abundance of caution and guidance from public health officials in order to protect the health and safety of our community.    Users do so at their own risk.
Based on CDC recommendations, we discourage people from congregating in groups of 10 or more people. Please practice social distancing, maintaining distances of at least six feet when feasible.

Please remember that even though you may feel healthy, you have the potential to pass this highly contagious virus to someone else which can greatly impact their health.

Together we can make a difference.

Playground Swing Changes

Neighbors,

Recently, some of the swings in our playgrounds needed to be replaced. Before our playground contractor replaced the swings he informed the HOA board members about the rules from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

"In Section 5.3.8.3.2 of the Public Playground Safety Handbook published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), it states: "Full bucket seat swings should be suspended from structures that are separate from those for other swings, or at least suspended from a separate bay of the same structure"."

The playground contractors therefore won't install anything that violates those rules. So, now we can only have 2 strap seats or 2 bucket seats on our current swing frames as they don't have any type of separation. We understand that this might be inconvenient for many of you with small children and are happy to work with our homeowners, so please let us know if your nearest playground would be better suited to 2 bucket seats or 2 strap seats.

The good news is that all of our playgrounds are due to be completely updated as part of Eagle Crossing's long term plan. The Board requested a Reserve Study that recommended replacing playground equipment beginning in 2022. We will be asking for your input when that process begins.

Thank you for your understanding,

Eagle Crossing board members.
