Homeowner FYIs 0

1. The second half dues installment payment was due July 1st.
If payment was not made your account WILL be sent to our collections attorney who will start a collections proceeding against you. Initial fees for collections are $175 and balloon dramatically from there if you continue to ignore.  If you still need to make payment, please contact our new management company, M Group Management (contact information above).

2. My pool key worked last week but doesn’t work this week?
Prior to the pools opening, all pool keycards were activated whether or not a homeowner was current on their HOA dues. However, since our covenants allow the Association to disallow access to our amenities, including the pools, to those homeowners who are not current on their HOA dues, as of June 21, pool keycards of those homeowners who were not current were deactivated. Since the second installment of HOA dues was due July 1, homeowners not current as of that date had their pool keycards deactivated on July 10.
If you believe that you are current, please contact M Group Management at (317) 579-3060 to discuss.

3. You may be losing your homestead tax exemption if you do not take action!
When spring tax statements were mailed, included in that mailing was a pink piece of paper. Information included on that pink piece of paper stated that all Indiana residents had to re-file their homestead exemption with more detailed information on all adults living at their residence. The state is requesting the additional information to make it easier to electronically track homestead exemption fraud. EVEN IF YOUR TAX PAYMENTS ARE ESCROWED, YOU MUST DO THIS!

Hendricks County has extended the deadline to re-file the extension to December 31, 2010. If you don’t file by then, you will not have an exemption for the 2010 tax year. Every homeowner will receive those bills either in 2011 or 2012 and if they haven’t re-filed before the deadline there will be nothing one can do once a higher bill is received. If you cannot locate your form, contact the Hendricks County Auditor’s office in person to complete the form. Their website is http://www.co.hendricks.in.us/auditor.html.
